Driver hits vehicle, trees, and injures pedestrian
A serious accident occurred along Otay Mesa road when a vehicle that loss all control hit a 33-year-old man, who was taking a walk on the road, and put him in critical condition.
San Diego police report that the driver was traveling north around 3:30 p.m. and was involved in a series of unfortunate incidents on the 100 block of Heritage road. The driver had to first maneuver in order to miss hitting another car and in doing so his car swerved off the road and hit a catering truck and numerous trees along the way before eventually hitting the pedestrian.
The vehicle rammed the pedestrian into a parked car, reports SDPD Sgt. Bob Dare said. The victim was rushed to the hospital suffering from severe leg injuries, said the sergeant.
