Two vehicle theives arrested after police chase
Two men who stole a car were caught by Border Patrol agents after being chased by police through San Diego Friday morning.
The incident began just before 11 a.m. Friday when a man was pulling up to his house in Mission Valley and saw his Ford F-350 pickup truck being driven away by a unknown person, said San Diego police.
Police were notified and began their pursuit as the truck drove eastbound on Interstate 8, then southbound on Interstate 15 and Interstate 805. The truck exited just north of the Mexico border at Camino de la Plaza. The chase continued down Dairy Mart Road and finally ended near Hollister Street and Sunset Avenue where Border Patrol agents were waiting for the suspects with their guns aimed.
The 23-year-old driver of the truck and his 30-year-old brother were forced out of the vehicle and arrested.
No injuries or crashes were reported during the chase.
