Police investigate cause of death of man found dead in apartment
San Diego police are currently looking into a case involving the dead body of a 36-year-old man, who was found killed within a City Heights apartment Thursday night.
Friends and co-workers arrived at the man’s apartment located on 38th Street near University Avenue around 12:30 a.m. to check up on the man after he did not come into work that day at a local restaurant, homicide Lt. Kevin Rooney reported.
The group walked into his apartment to discover the man’s dead body lying on his bedroom floor.
Rooney said the man’s body exhibited “characteristics” that could be linked to an illness or injury. An autopsy of the body is to be done today that will help the understand what happened and how the man was killed, Rooney reported.
