Two woman victims of robbery and hit-and-runs
Police were searching for a driver or possibly drivers who hit two female pedestrians over the weekend and then stole their purses afterward.
The first theft was called in at 5:20 p.m. Friday in a parking lot by a Target store on Broadway by Palomar Street, reported Chula Vista police spokesman Bernard Gonzales.
The woman informed police that she had been hit by either a blue or green colored Dodge Ram pickup. She was not hurt in the incident.
Another theft of the same nature was called in around 3:17 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot next to Bed Bath & Beyond on East H Street, near Terra Nova Drive in the Terra Nova Plaza shopping center. The woman reported that she was hit and fell to the ground by a gray van. She was not hurt in the incident either.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call police at (619) 691-5151.
