Two robbers steal wallet and car keys from customer at motel
A customer staying at a motel in the Morena area called police informing them that they had just been a victim of a robbery yesterday afternoon by two men armed with a knife and threatening him with the weapon, police reported.
The robbery took place at the EZ-8 motel on Pacific Highway, close to Friars Road, was called in around 5:40 p.m., San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros stated. The customer reported that the two men armed with a knife walked inside his room when his door was left open, and they grabbed his wallet and car keys and took off, Delimitros said. The robbers did not steal his car. No one was injured in the incident.
According to a description of one robber, he was a white male, around 40-years-old with with blond hair in a pony tail, had a beard and wore blue jeans, Delimitros stated. The other robber was said to be a Latino man, around 30-years-old, was clean-shaven and dressed in a red basketball jersey. Both men looked as if they were homeless, the officer stated.
