Officers took a worker for an Alert Ambulance into custody after he was accused of threatening his co-workers. Authorities conducted a search of his vehicle and discovered four handguns inside, San Diego police reported.

The 27-year-old worker was said to have dialed his workplace located on Hancock Street around 11:40 a.m. and threatened to “hurt everyone at the office,” police stated. Around 10 minutes after his call, he called the business again and told them he was going to stop by to take home some of his possessions.

Whether or not he is still working for the Alert Ambulance is unknown. According to the company’s Web site, he is a fleet manager.

Officers were on the look out for the man and spotted him returning to his home with his wife around 2:15 p.m. Police later stopped him in his car while traveling near Winona and Orange avenues and searched his car and discovered four semiautomatic handguns, as well as ammunition.

He was sent to jail and is being held there under suspicion of threatening to commit a crime that will lead to injuring others. He was also charged with spousal abuse.
