Man arrested for act of arson
A 23-year-old man was arrested Sunday after a fire started at an apartment in the complex located on Granjas Road near the corner of Naples Street around 2:30 a.m.
Daniel Behrens, 23, was sent and held at a county jail under suspicion of arson to a occupied building, attempted arson, possession of a device used to cause fire, breaking and entering and resisting and delaying officers. His bail was set at $1 million.
A news release reported that fire officials saw Behrens taking off from the first floor after it was lit on fire and ran up to the second floor. Investigators report they discovered three different spots in the complex where the fire had been purposely started.
