Bicyclist hit by officer on motorcycle
A police officer riding a motorcycle hit a bicyclist Tuesday in Hillcrest around noon, which caused the biker to be sent to the hospital with small injuries, authorities reported.
The motorcycle and bike accident was called in from University Avenue between Tenth Avenue and Vermont Street around 2:40 p.m., stated San Diego police spokesman Gary Hassen. The police official said that he was hurting and had visible injuries. Hassen added that he was unsure if the officer was transported to the hospital or not.
The cyclist was minorly hurt and taken to the hospital for aide, Hassen reported. No more information regarding the accident was given right away.
