Woman in highway crash identified
A 31-year-old woman died in an accident on a connecting ramp Sunday and was recently recognized to be Sarah Rachelle Phillips, a resident of San Diego, officials with the Medical Examiner’s office reported Sunday afternoon.
Phillips was traveling south on Interstate 805 in her SUV around 11:10 a.m. Saturday when she entered the ramp connecting the south state Route 15, when she ran through a puddle and as a result loss control of her car, authorities stated.
The SUV swerved off the road and flipped over multiple times. Phillips was launched from the car and passed away at the location, officials reported.
