Police are currently searching for a man responsible for robbing from a Circle K store in the 8800 block of La Mesa Boulevard Friday night.

The robber walked inside the store around 11 p.m. and revealed that he had a gun while ordering that the clerk place the money from the register into a pillow case that he provided, reported La Mesa Police Department during a press release. The suspect took off running after the robbery. 

La Mesa police and the sheriff’s department looked all over the area with the help of a helicopter and a canine unit but were unsuccessful. 

Police reported that the robber is a black male in his 20s, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 150 pounds with a thin build. He was dressed in a dark jacket with a white T-shirt underneath, dark jeans and white shoes.
