Young teen jumped and stabbed multiple times
A 14-year-old boy was a victim of a stabbing Tuesday night in which he was stabbed multiple times in what is thought to be a gang-related incident.
The boy was traveling on West 8th Street near South Escondido Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. when a group of about ten people walked up to him and started running after him and shouting out gang threats, reported Escondido police Sgt. Eric Skaja.
They jumped the boy and stabbed him a minimum of six times, one of which was in his chest, Skaja stated.
He was placed in the hospital for treatment and is expected to heal.
Police spoke with witnesses but no one was able to report what the people looked like, Skaja stated.
