Smoke reported to be coming from airplane cabin causes plane return
A commuter flight on its way to Los Angeles from Lindbergh Field Sunday night went back to San Diego after it had left when smoke was said to be coming from the cabin.
American Eagle flight 3064 took off at 8:43 p.m., reported an airport spokeswoman. Smoke was said to be in the plane once it had been 20 miles away from the airport and the plane backtracked its course, the spokeswoman added.
The plane landed without any problems at Lindbergh Field a little after 9 p.m. to find fire officials ready to investigate, reported San Diego fire Capt. Mark Tonai.
The cause of the smoke is still under investigation as of now and no one was said to be hurt in the incident.
