Woman batters 71-year-old woman
A woman was taken into custody on Wednesday under accusations of theft after a 71-year-old woman was a battered in her home, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
On Tuesday, the 47-year-old woman walked inside of an older person’s home located on East Vista Way near Meadowlake Drive around noon through a door that was left open, the Sheriff’s Department stated. The resident, who knew the thief, reported that the thief took a knife to her throat and threatened her, then socked her in the face and attempted to choke her to death with a belt while ordering to be given possessions, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
The robber then made the victim driver her away from the house to an unstated area, where she ran away, the Sheriff’s Department stated.
On Wednesday, the robber was taken into custody at a state parole office in Escondido and transported to Vista jail, where she is being detained on accusations of theft, assault with a deadly weapon, battery and dissuading a witness, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
