Suitcase left in bathroom leads to suspicion
The sheriff’s bomb-arson unit is currently looking into a situation in which a suspicious package was left in a men’s bathroom in a classroom building at Cal State University San Marcos on Tuesday morning, officials reported.
The suitcase was discovered at bout 10:35 a.m. in fourth floor bathroom of the Academic Hall. The large classroom and office building is in the center of the campus and students and teachers have been led out of the building, university spokeswoman Margaret Lutz reported.
“The building has been evacuated and will remain evacuated until it’s cleared,” Lutz stated.
No threats were made in line with the package, campus Police Chief Ronald Hackenberg informed.
