Survey shows that San Diego urban area must deal with terrible roadways
The results of a survey announced Monday revealed that San Diego County motorists have to deal with some of the most terrible roads in the nation and have more expensive car repair bills in return.
Over half of the roads and highways in the Greater San Diego urban area, which makes up 53 percent of the roads, are categorized as “poor” conditioned, which makes it come up seventh in the ranking of urban areas with bad roads.
Another 31 percent of roads were deemed “mediocre.” Ten percent of the roads in that area were recognized as “good,” and 6 percent were “fair.”
The survey was carried out by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation officials and was also based off of 2007 government statistics.
