Destroyers to return after five month deployment
The Arleigh-Burke destroyers Kidd and Preble are to return to San Diego Naval Base today after being moved into position for military action along with Carrier Strike Group 3.
The ships were sent to the western Pacific and Middle East to carry out their procedures there for five months.
The Kidd and Preble were responsible for maintaining sea lanes, making sure they were kept open and also for giving out humanitarian assistance.
